Appointments

Making an appointment.

What you need before you book, what it costs, and what to bring on the day.

You will need a referral

Cardiology is a specialist service, so a referral is needed before your first appointment. A referral from your GP lasts twelve months; one from another specialist lasts three.

Without a valid referral you can still be seen, but no Medicare rebate can be claimed for the consultation.

Fees

No bulk billing at present. Pensioners receive a discounted fee. Most items attract a Medicare rebate when you have a valid referral — the rooms will tell you your expected rebate and out-of-pocket cost when you book.
